ABOUT US
Incognito originated in Chicago in the late 70's as a mail-order sunglass company. Increased demand for the sunglasses lead to the creation of the wholesale division. The trend-setting styles were featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Interview, G.Q., Details, and Creem. In 1982 Incognito moved to its current location and opened up a retail store, also called Incognito. The store is filled with an eclectic group of clothing, shoes, and accessories for men and women. Some of the best musicians, including The Romantics, George Clinton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Orgy, Kid Rock, ZZ Top, The Whitestripes, Erika Badhu, MC5, The Cult, Motley Crue, Incognito (the band), Beastie Boys, Limp Bizkit, and Derrick May, have visited the store. Incognito also has acting support from Detroit native Ted Raimi and funnyman Cheech Marin, to name a few. Over the years Incognito has outfitted many of these people with eyewear, including Jon Bon Jovi, featured with Incognito glasses on the cover of "My Life".
Incognito will continue to strive to provide everyone with the best fashion statements available.
